- Preparation: Grab your puzzle kit, find a comfortable spot, and lay everything out. A clean, flat workspace is your best friend!
- Sorting pieces: Take a look at the pieces and sort them roughly. It can help to sort the wooden boards and the bags that sometimes come with them. (Do not remove the wooden pieces from the boards, as the markings can sometimes be off and not on the pieces.)
- Read the instructions: Sounds boring, but trust us – the instructions are your best friend. Have a look at them before you start and follow the steps.
- Removing pieces: The pieces are laser cut. Carefully push them out of the wooden boards. Use a small tool or your fingers, but be careful not to break anything. You can also cut the bridges between the pieces and the board, which makes it easier to remove them.
- Assembling: Follow the instructions and put the pieces together. For this, you should sand down the small bridges beforehand with sandpaper. All puzzles are designed to be assembled without glue, but a little wood glue can be helpful if you want it to be particularly sturdy. (But only where nothing moves)
- Stay patient: Some pieces may not fit immediately. Be patient and do not press too hard. If something does not fit, check the instructions again or verify that you have the correct piece.
- Fine-tuning: Sometimes, pieces need a little sanding or adjustment. Fine sandpaper can work wonders here. This is always included in the packaging. For wooden pieces or gears that rub against each other, you should treat them with wax; otherwise, they won't move smoothly or may get stuck quickly.
- Finishing up: Once everything fits and your model stands, treat yourself to a high-five! You did it.
